…about what is going on in the Gulf? Do you really believe most of the oil is cleaned up and everything is recovering? Or have you decided to just ignore it because it’s too upsetting and you don’t think you can help? Well, I have just two words for you…. “Stop” (new word) “It!” Watch the brilliant “Stop It” skit by Bob Newhart below. I was introduced to this when I went to Liz Mitten Ryan’s ranch in BC to teach a few months ago. The students in my class had just finished a course with Liz who had shown them the skit on YouTube. They all kept screaming “Stop It” at each other and then bursting into hysterical laughter. Now I get it. The skit kind of grows on you and sets up house….. I have an update on the Gulf, but comedy before tragedy.

Gulf Update
Being in denial and ignoring the Gulf disaster will not work. What is happening there is turning into a monster that is eating our world. We are going to have to find a way to deal with it or be destroyed by it. So here’s the update, as brief as I could make it.
The Oil- It’s not cleaned up. Most of it was sunk, lots still on the surface. There is a lake of oil at the bottom of the Gulf. A whistleblower who said there is a bigger uncontrolled leak 7 miles away from the blown well, is now dead (suspicious death). Citizen observers on flyovers talk about massive amounts of oil still leaking…The oil is everywhere and it’s now moving out from the Gulf. The shores of 5 states are now polluted. It’s not just oil, it’s got deadly Corexit mixed all through it. And because of the corexit, the oil is emulsified in the water column, which makes all the water of the Gulf toxic. The Corexit and the huge amounts of methane spewing out with the oil are eating up the oxygen. The water has no oxygen in it. Nothing can live in the Gulf ocean anymore expect microbes that don’t need oxygen to survive. If you want to watch and read about the state of the oil/water/corexit, here are the sources:
The Wildlife – BP purposely sank, picked up, and destroyed the dead wildlife. The death toll so far in the Gulf is beyond our comprehension and it is growing larger by the day. In my opinion, all the animals and plants in and around the Gulf and the 50 MILLIION migratory birds on their way to the Gulf right now are dead men walking. The entire Gulf ecosystem has been murdered. Did I mention birds are my favorite things on Earth. I can hardly speak I am so bereft. Here are the links to read /watch about the wildlife.
Can I just say that the groups doing wildlife cleaning (Iused to work for one) are the best public relations BP can buy? IBBRC is lauding BP because BP never questions their expenses and pays for everything… Right, and what is BP doing to all the people who are putting in damage claims…paying them are they? Also releasing cleaned birds and turtles into the Gulf makes no sense whatsoever to me. We have to clean up the environment before putting animals back in it and at present cleaning up the Gulf is a massive, seemingly impossible task.
The People of the Gulf - People in and around the shores are getting sick. They have the symptoms of corexit poisoning and oxygen deprivation poisoning. Its being called the BP or the Blue Plague. Anyone who says corexit is ok or that it breaks down in the environment is lying. The people who got exposed in Alaska are now dead and the places they used corexit are still devoid of life.
The Rest of Us - There are now huge fish die offs happening on the East Coast due to lack of oxygen. People all over the US and Canada from the Gulf, to CO, to may soon be affected by toxic/acid rain originating from the Gulf.
The Media – You will not hear about any of this. I had to scout it out. There is a complete and total press cover up.
What To Do -
I think we need to keep researching to figure out why this happened… see my last blog for a discussion of that. My best hit on what to do is to provide the people on the ground in the affected areas (which could soon be everywhere) 1) info on how to protect themselves. 2) how to protect their immediate environment (gardens etc) from toxic rain and 3) how to bioremediate the shore (and maybe even the ocean?) themselves (without waiting for bp or EPA or the coast guard). 4) In addition, all of us need to find the ways to shift the power in the world away from the monopoly corporations, banks and wealthy despots who are controlling and destroying us and the earth. I am currently working with another activist on a survival package for people in the Gulf that will address the first three things. When the survival package is completed we want to get it out to everyone we can… so your help in that would be great. For item number 4, one initial action (by no means enough…) that people in US can do is to join Move On or True Majority as they and a number of other groups are going for an agenda that addresses these political issues. People in other countries can seek out groups that are addressing how to get people back in control of government, and we will all have to make that our prime directive. Beyond all that .. please get this info out to people, as really you can’t find it in normal media sources. And don’t give up, never give up.
for advice on how to go on with normal life in the face of the Gulf of Mexico oil volcano, the worst environmental disaster in our lifetimes. My response was, you can’t go on with normal life now. This event has changed everything. It is not clear just yet whether all of the Gulf will die, nor how far this nightmare will spread. Seventeen countries offered aid, tankers, expertise… and the Feds, Obama refused them.

If the Feds and BP had gotten supertankers to suck up the oil from day one it would never have gone beyond the drill site. If they had not used the Corexitthe animals of the Gulf would not all be dying. Now we need hundreds of supertankers to deal with it. But this was ALL preventable.
The Really Weird Stuff
Following the stocks and the money leads to some interesting turns, (unfortunately this is a sort of weird source but facts are facts).
There is a lot about the rig failure and the unusual events surrounding that, such as that Halliburton( whom I wouldn’t trust with a bag of garbage) “worked ” on the rig the day before it blew.
So if this were actually done on purpose and not just due to bumbling, cost-cutting idiots, then the question becomes, Why? What is the motivation? There are a number of contenders. One idea I have heard is that the oil companies dont want to permenantly close any well as that would limit further access to drilling and having wells. Also with a dead gulf it becomes moot whether to drill or not… as in what the hell its dead anyway. It’s also clear from BPs past that they do not spend money on cleanups and will do anything to avoid spending money on clean up. I just found out that Corexit destroys the fingerprint of oil so putting it in the oil as it came out of the well meant that no one could chemically track the oil back to that well… All this just death- of a whole piece of the world – just to avoid any criminal liability….. In addition to money made by various players selling stock before hand, NOLA, the company that makes Corexit (and also does water purification services, how convenient) is making billions. Halliburton, with Boots and Coots, is raking in the dough. I’m sure Goldman Sachs has found some way make more money off this. Other theories – just reporting them not subscribing – include a scheme to use the dead Gulf to grow algae biofuel and make billions. And the idea of buying real estate in the Gulf really cheap and then making a fortune in 10 years or so when the oil settles or is bioremediated or whatever… I have also heard the idea that this is about population control. I really don’t know about any of these hidden agendas. I only know there has to be one or more hidden agendas. Normal people act normally. BP and the Feds are not acting normally. They have some kind of agenda. They are not moving to stop or significantly diminish this earth-threatening situation. This is not normal.
Is This Our Fault?
I keep on seeing people comment in the blogs, guilt tripping others about using their SUV or flying to the Gulf to help and using up fuel, etc. I just read a blog by Lynne MacTaggart where she talks about this tragedy being necessary to our evolution, and admonishes us to live differently and evolve a society that doesn’t depend on oil.
Wait just a minute there… People don’t want oil. We want the Earth to be green and safe and healthy, but every attempt made by environmentalists to get to renewable energy has been killed by the oil, coal and nuclear industries. We thought we had a champion in Obama but he has proven to be a liar and a total sellout - one of the most discouraging events American progressives have had to face in our lifetimes. We almost had alternative energy it in the 70s with Carter who was poised upon his reelection to take the country solar. Instead the oil companies staged the Iran Hostage Crisis, killed Carter’s chance at reelection, got Reagan in and 45 minutes after the inauguration, the crisis evaporated. Reagan took all the solar panels off the White House, Big Oil had their king, and they have never looked back.
But is there a lesson, some mirror in this for us to see and understand? Yes I think so, but its not the knee jerk one that everyone is touting. The lesson is that we have become passive and compliant. BP and the Feds can do what they want with us and our precious Earth and we just let them do it. We have abandoned action and gone into denial. Partly its because the internet keeps us isolated physically so we don’t meet up an do joint action. Also we have becomescared of fighting, scared of the consequences, and and we hide this fear with rationalizations about how we should only be in support of things never against them ( I would personally like to shoot every copy of The Secret out there!). How do you think women got the vote, slaves were freed, child labor was stopped, fair labor practices were won? People fought long and hard to make these things happen; some people died in the process.
Make no mistake this is about revolution not evolution. We won’t be able to evolve a society that does not depend on oil, we will have to wrest one out of the hands of the monopoly corporations and their lackeys in the world governments. That is not to say that manifesting and energy healing cant help. Say Dr Emoto’s prayer by all means. Heal and manifest away, I’m doing it too. But we will have to actually do something to oppose this to turn it around, and we will have to be smart about it. And please don’t buy the New Age drek being circulated about the animals in the Gulf being happy to give their lives for us so we could see how bad oil is and how we have to change. How self-serving! As far as I can see that is just another form of denial, a way to justify this disaster and put up a wall against feeling the grief.
Feel the grief. Cry for two weeks straight night and day like I did for every dolphin, turtle, whale, spoonbill, pelican, plover, and laughing gull that has died a tortuous death. Then pick yourself up and figure out what you personally are going to do. I can only give you ideas. I have lots of them.
Is This Fate?
Well, there is that angle …. it’s in the Bible and the Hopi prophecies, about the sea turning black and many dying. But if you say to yourself, “Oh its just fate”, then where are you? Stuck in a nightmare and doing nothing to shift it. If you believe even a tiny bit that you can shape reality then you have to get off your duff and do something to shape this one because it will arrive at your doorstep soon if it’s not there already.
Well Then What Can We Do?
I’m going to tell you what I have done so far……I asked for help from - the Universe, Spirit, every dead relative and dead animal who might be out there in Spiritland and willing to help – to come help me find the ways to turn this around, to help the Earth. Then I just went with every idea as it came to me. I set up a group site on Facebook called Gulf Oil Disaster Support Circles where you can go to get updates, share info, and learn how to form a support group. The idea of the support group is to find a few other people and meet by conference call or skype or in person weekly to share info, brainstorm, do energy healing and manifesting, and support each other in taking action for the Gulf. Go on Facebook, join the group and tell all your friends to do the same. I researched day and night to figure out what the problem was and why nothing was getting done. I then tried to figure out how to do an end run on BP and the Feds since they are actively obstructing clean up. Doing an end run would mean actually effecting some kind of remediation or clean up in spite of them, which might embarrass them into doing something and or could just be a peoples’ movement that supplants the Feds and BP. I thought it would be great if local governments and residents just start doing bioremdiation on the coastlines without waiting for permission… just DO IT. I have been working to connect with some groups locally to get a bioremediation project going, so people can see how it works. One of the big problems in doing bioremediation with fungi and microbes is the lack of oxygen. Bioremediators are going to have to find a way to oxygenate because Corexit and methane eat up oxygen. This is important: Bioremediation can detoxify Corexit. It will be the only way to get rid of that poison from our Earth. I also connected to an activist group who are spearheading a Gulf activist group, http://www.gulfemergencysummit.org/and encouraged them to make ending Corexit one of their top demands, which they have done. I am waiting to hear from EccoBella. They had a blog entry about how the guy who helped clean up the Saudi Gulf is now helping local shrimpers learn how to go suck up oil and they are working on somehow getting some big ships in… this would be a great end run too. I am working to connect with scientists and maybe get a coalition to come out against the Feds, demanding action. I continue to write letters to the editor and call Congress. And I’m doing this blog for you to send out to as many people as you can.
You can take the same first step I did… commit to finding what you can do personally to help stop this nightmare. Ask for help from Spirit and then start following the hits and hunches that come to you. Share them with all of us on the Facebook site or make comments to this blog.
A lot of these actions are for people in the US but some can be done even if out of the US. For example, getting the truth out there. There is a press blackout in other countries too so get the truth out there. Send this on , write letters to the editor. Demand that your government do something… the oil will be headed to Europe soon…..
Sign True Majority, Moveon.org et al”s pledge to reform our government – we have to get big money and big monopolies out of our government.
Know anyone in the Gulf area? There is grant money to pay farmers to flood fields for the migratory birds coming to gulf in Sept. If you know anyone in the area contact them and get them to contact farmers to tell them to do this. Also send them this blog.
I’m not sure boycotting BP makes sense. But I think boycotting as a tactic can be highly successful. Rainforest Action did it to get companies to buy only sustainable hardwood products and succeeded in just a year. Here’s a project for someone…. do the research to find out what we could boycott that would hurt NALCO or hurt Goldman Sachs, or somehow find a tender spot that we could use to leverage for real cleanup to commence. Anyone up for doing some research? A boycott can be a worldwide action too.
Write letters to editor of major newspapers about any and all of these issues (again do in other countries too):
Possible Topics: call for end to corexit, demand the US let the 17 nations who have offered help out. demand the US bring in 100s of tankers, start bioremediating, take BP out of control, restore rights to citizens to go see the damage and freedom of press to document it, prosecute BP and seize their assets. Demand that this clean up be run by the best minds, best experienced people (which is not the coast guard and BP) we want professors, engineers, inventors people who have innovative, cant hurt might help ideas on how to stop the flow, and collect and remediate the oil.
Call your Congress people weekly and demand the above. Be incensed, get mad. Get a few friends to go withyou and make an appointment to go to your congress persons local office and meet with them or an aide about this. If in another country go to your government officials and demand that they do something … this is headed your way eventually. Make demands.
Keep informed and share your info. I will be updating the Facebook site with the best stuff I can find and you can share your info on the Facebook site. And now a word about protests…We need them, and big ones, and lots of ones, and all over the world and over and over, until we get our Earth and our lives and our democracy back. Whence came the notion that protests are bad or passe or somehow not evolved? Gobshite.That is what we need now more than anything else. Anger on behalf of the earth and lots of it. That sperm whales cant get mad that they are being poisoned and burned to extinction. The pelicans cant sue to get their marsh back and their babies. We have to act for them.

Programming First Impresssions… Again
At the virtual practice groups last week we experimented with programming first impressions. The assignment was to work with my dog Norman and get general first impressions, as I have taught you, and to also hold the intention to get impressions about his past, specifically what happened to him, who he was with, and why and how he ended up with me. People were amazingly accurate and it was so EASY!!!! At the next group which is July 6th Tues (Three sessions: 10 am PST by phone, 5:30 pm PST by phone, 8 pm PST by Skype) we will focus on how to get really good at receiving impressions and communication from your own animals. Gulf Oil Catastrophe
You cant call it a spill anymore. There is something weird going on. No one is trying to stop the oil or clean it up and no one will stop BP spraying corexit even though it is a poison and kills aquatic life. In larger animals it causes red blood cells to burst, wrecks lungs and kidneys,fries your brain (watch some of the videos of dolphins flailing in water, and sharks coming ashore disoriented) and is carcinogenic, if you live that long.
If from day one the government had required BP to bring in tankers to suck up the oil we would not be talking. Here are some links to how this technique worked in Saudi Arabia for 800 million gallons of oil..
Another thing that is purposely Not being done.. remediation. There are tons of bioremediatiors tons of microbes available and they can even oxygenate the water to deal with the BOD issue… but no one is breaking thru. They bought 32 of costners machines for PR. His machines cant do squat at this point as the whole gulf is polluted now.
Which brings me to Corexit….it is deadly toxic, BP knows, EPA knows, Obama knows, they all know this. And there are way less toxic ones. They all KNOW this.
If they had not put in the corexit the whole coast and water could have been bioremediated and probably the wildlife would not now be facing extinction.
Here’s is the extremely weird stuff.
BP has hired private security firms and they are arresting people in Grand Isle who take pictures, have cameras or are seen talking with workers. Everyone appears to be terrified to talk. None of the BP workers will talk to the press.
BP is doing a sham clean up for the coast… see this story from Mother Jones
Haliburton bought Boots and Coots, a large oil spill clean up company, in early April. Then Haliburton worked on the rig on the 19th right before it blew. That was Earth Day… do not overlook the symbolism. BP CEO Tony sold a bunch of shares right before the catastrophe and paid for his million dollar home. Goldman Sachs sold half of their shares of BP just before the event…..
There are too many coincidences… this seems like it is being done on purpose. I don’t know why… have some ideas. But the more important issue is how can we get them to do the right thing right now. To stop the Corexit, bring in the tankers, and bioremdiate.
What to Do?
Educate all your friends… send them this blog. If they are on Facebook tell them to join the facebook page I set up – Gulf Oil Disaster Support Circles
Protest whenever and wherever you can. See Code Pink’s website… demos coming up June 19 and see Hands Across the Sand coming up on the 26th.
Write letters to the editor to every paper you can send to … all over us Europe wherever. What to say? Say this is hideous and the govt and BP are purposely not cleaning up and hiding the truth and the extent of the damage. You don’t know why ….what is critical though is we need to get tankers and bioremediation now and stop the deadly poison corexit.
Post to blogs online…stay focused. The most important thing is to get the real cleanup going NOW. before it is too late…Tankers, bioremediation and stop the corexit. Become very single minded. Nothing else matters if we cant do those three things….
BP needs to be out of the Gulf and out of control. No more coverups no more orders from BP.
Call your legislators and meet with them if you can. I think calling the whitehouse and EPA is useless.
Get on talk radio shows and say we need the clean up now… tankers bioremediation stop the poison…
Write to the tv and talk show hosts urge them to cover the issue of bioremdiation. Have Riki Ott on to talk about Corexit. GEt Mike Papantonio on to talk about the tankers.
Tell your friends in other countries. Have them write letters and press their governments to press ours. This stuff will end up in the gulf stream and go all around the world, It will also be in the rain…..
I asked myself….. that more people aren’t calling and emailing about the spill? Why aren’t people in the streets about this? I think there are a few possible reasons:
- the spill is perceived as a local, albeit large, disaster that wont touch you if you are not in Alabama, Florida, Georgia or Louisiana (this one is huge I think)
- people feel completely helpless have no clue what to do and are overwhelmed. Read” If you don’t know about it you don’t have to suffer. As in don’t show me the horse slaughter pictures please. (this is huge too)
- people have not yet quite figured out that most of the media are handmaidens for BP and every other corporation out there, ie, they are soulless liars.
- no one has taken the time (it is sloggy work) to read the posts, follow the links and find out the truth behind this behemoth
- most people are not cursed as I am with the quadruple whammy of being a biologist, an intuitive, a former wildlife rehabilitator and a toxic expert

So then I asked myself how… How can I possibly write something that will get through, not alienate….but still tell the truth as I see it. I decided to tell you how I have been feeling.
I am bereft- Those animals in the Gulf they are my babies. I didn’t have any babies… all the animals on earth are my babies. And BP just murdered about a trillion of them, if you add in the the shrimp and coral and microbes that sustain all life in water and on land. I think about all the sperm whales, dolphins, whale sharks, dead at the bottom of the gulf, killed by the deadly toxin Corexit that EPA refused to stop BP from spraying. The oil didn’t kill everything the Corexit did it and BP made sure it all sank to the bottom so you wont see or know that all those animals are DEAD now. I think about them dying from poison, suffocating, sick, like the workers who are coming into the hospitals now….and I start crying and I cant stop…can not stop. When I see the pelicans so loaded with oil they cant fly or hear of birds mobbing a pile of dying fish, starving for food because all the fish are dying or gone, and know the birds will die too because those fish are toxic, I start crying and I cant stop. When I see the oil in the marshes 65 miles long and 12 miles deep and expanding as I write, and the birds coated, their eggs coated, the fish coated, I start crying and cant stop.
I have been so upset that I cant work well. I spend a lot of time researching trying to find why this happened and how to stop it. Trying to find out how bad it is. What I found out made me cry even more… I dont know if I can stand to see ecosystem after ecosystem, beautiful animal after beautiful animal, species after species MURDERED.
I am not sure what to do… I can only pass on to you what I have discovered and what I think we have to do. I am still waiting for people who want to help with the facebook site, with activism…if you want me to I will tell you ideas for what to do. So far I only have solidly three people coming forward of all the people I have emailed, facebooked. One of the people who is helping said her friends are shunning her now and her partner wants her to stop thinking about the oil spill. Right…..
Here is why that is not an option:
There may well be two leaks, one far larger and at a greater depth. Estimates I trust put the volume of oil gushing at 4 million gallons per day. This oil could have been sucked up from day one by oil tankers (the smaller ones can get into the gulf no problems) but BP and the US government have done nothing to clean up this oil NOTHING. Is is as if they want the oil to spew and spew.EPA knew Corexit was DEADLY and let BP put a million gallons of it into the ocean. Corexit is toxic: it causes red blood cells to collapse, wrecks your kidneys and lungs, and kills you. It kills all aquatic life at very low levels, and robs the oxygen out of the water. It is being evaporated as we speak and will rain down on all of the east including Canada,according to a link going around Russian scientists are predicting dire things for the east coast of North America.No one is doing anything… just a bunch of headless chickens ……. and the US government stands by … knowing that tankers could help, knowing the Corexit will kill the planet… and does nothing. It is Katrina and Chernobyl to the power of 100 . This could kill our planet. Right now there is no end in sight for this leak and the gulf is black with oil.
We need to force our government to take over, get tankers to the gulf now and use whatever innovative ways can be tried to remediate the coastline and somehow detoxify the corexit detoxify This has to happen NOW.
It does not help that this event is one of the alleged Hopi prophecies….
Someone posted me the other day on the facebook site (Gulf Oil Disaster Support Circles) and said, “Glad you got your second wind Marta, You are a warrior.”
I guess I am….. want to join me?
You can go to a protest, start a protest, write letters to the editor, find out how to get to famous people who might get on the press and tell them to speak up (demand tankers and remediation of the oil and toxins…that’s what we need more than anything), call your congress people, form a support circle.

British Petroleum is covering up the extent of the spill and doing nothing useful to stop it or contain it or clean it up. The government and most major media are in lock step with these criminals. The hideous truth is that there may be over a million gallons spewing out per day. Researchers from some Southern Universities went out and determined that the volume is far greater than BP is saying and there are multiple 10 mile long rivers of oil headed toward the Everglades at depths of up to 2,000 feet. (Worst case volume per day is 4 million gallons, see bottom of page on GreenPeace blog http://www.greenpeace.org/usa/news/gulf-oil-spill
BP was actually the responsible party in the Exxon Valdez spill. According to journalist Greg Palast BP purposely did not contain that spill… the damage could have been stopped. BP is doing the same thing in the Gulf.

We have to make the government take over this spill, control it using university experts and innovate nontoxic ideas (many exist) and get BP out of control. How? Call the white house, your senators and representatives, your governor (and local officials if you live in a state affected by the spill). Also call the EPA and NOAA to complain. At the very end of the blog I put where to call (or find the numbers) and what to say. You can call even if you don’t live in US. And please tell your friends to call EVERY SINGLE DAY until this is turned around.
At the Very Least we should all BOYCOTT BP, pass it on please.

Might Be That The Press is Starting to Smell a Cover UP
BP is controlling who sees what. Here is a video from CBS where BP turned the press away and threatened to arrest them.
I called my senator, Boxer, and her staff person said the best thing right now is to call, call call. She said there are lots of inventors calling with nontoxic solutions but no one will listen to them. She said there are nonstop calls from people upset like me. She advised that we keep the pressure on and expand it. That means call every day and get lots of people to do call. Here are ideas for where to call. I am calling all of these once a day.
I’m not sure if any of the other ones would be much use… LOL
What To Say
BP is covering up this spill not cleaning it up. Demand that the government take this spill away from BP now. Demand that the use of toxic dispersants, which are banned in the UK, be stopped now – they are toxic to animals and make the oil harder to clean up (but easier to hide for BP). Explain how upset and angry you are. Demand that Obama include the university researchers and the inventors who have innovative, non dangerous and nontoxic ways to stop this spill and clean it up. Demand that they take BP off this spill now and do something useful. Tell them that BP has to pay for the damage not the American people. And demand that US go to clean renewable energy NOW, shut down oil and shut down nuclear – they are too dangerous to the planet.
Please share this with people who will take action and ask them to pass it on.
You can program your intuition to retrieve the information you want. I suspect there are myriad ways to do this. The method I am playing with is to program your first impressions. Let me explain what I mean by that. When I teach the beginning class I have people go with their first impressions of an animal even before tuning in, getting focused or asking the animal if he or she wants to chat. The rationale for this as a first step is so that your intuition, which operates much like a computer, can download all the “pressing”bits of data coming through. This way those, off-the-top-of-your-head impressions won’t get lost. To program this process you simply set your intention to get certain specific types of information from your first impressions. Here’s how:
Get the photo, name and age of the animal (if you are not there in person with the animal)
Intend to get first impressions and record them
Intend to get those impressions about certain aspects of the animal – this can be anything you choose, for example: personality, health, emotional well being, likes and dislikes, issues with owner… etc … ad infinitum.
Then write (or say out loud) whatever impressions come to you – no matter what record them and go to the next
Try it and see how it works. Then get back to me with the results.

I’m really, really struggling with something and I’d be willing to bet other communicators do, too. And I’d love your input–maybe even a topic for your blog, if you haven’t already touched on it. Being a person who is incredibly open on so many levels spiritually and energetically, I have found myself over the past year, shutting my intuitive gifts down, because there is so much pain, sorrow, and suffering on the planet right now. While I also know that there is great beauty, joy, and love here too, and that taking on physical existence is coming to “earth school” as a friend of mine puts it, and that learning is part of the lesson for every being here. I also know that part of the work we are doing here right now is assisting with the shift that is coming. But, still the feelings of pain and suffering of the planet and the beings we share her with are overwhelming and I’d really love to hear your thoughts on staying open during these so very difficult times. Great question! To answer the last one first… I will come to Colorado if someone wants to sponsor it. Get back to me and I will explain how. Regarding pain and suffering in the world…. yep it is pretty horrific right now. To deal with it you need to do two things…
1. Realize that we are on the verge of a huge shift. Could go good or bad but it is huge. That is why everything is so big and crazy. We are either going to heal or the patient is going to die.
2. Withdrawing will make you sick and ultimately you will feel worse. Instead … GO DO SOMETHING… find a group to actually work with. Do something. That is the cure.

Get that question a lot! The answer is: You know it’s real if you can prove it. So if you get something intuitively, I don’t care how much you think you are right, the only way to know you are right is if you can prove it. This becomes a serious issue when people start doing thing like locating lost animals intuitively. I have heard stories of communicators telling people everything from, “Your animal is dead,” when it turned out to be alive, to, “Your animal ran away because he doesn’t like you and he is with someone else now having fun”, when the dog was found lost in a nearby forest. I could go on. The point is, it is a mistake to represent intuitive information as accurate and real unless it turns out to be. Doing so can cause real hardships. I just talked to a woman who was told a whole wild story about a missing cat and then when nothing was turning up the communicator told her that the cat didn’t want to talk anymore. Give me a break. That is just sloppy. Kind of like what Fox News tries to pass off as fair and unbiased reporting.
Where this gets particulary sticky is when dealing with the almost completely unverifiable realm of reincarnation. There may be some markers, like a unique behavior, that could tend to indicate an animal has returned to you in another body, but basically there is no way to verify anything regarding an animal once it dies. See my book Beyond Words for some cool stories about people having uncanny experiences with animals that suggested the animal had returned.

Note though that I used the word suggested; I didn’t say proved. Understandably, people want to believe in reincarnation and want to think their animal will return. But I have heard of communicators who get very specific about the when and where and what, often sending clients on a wild goose chase. One communicator after sending the client on an elaborate and fruitless pursuit told the woman that her dog had decided not to come in after all because the woman was so obsessed. Oh yes? And how would a communicator ever know that? And who made the woman obsessed? Really if it weren’t so unethical and pathetic it would be funny.
So here is what I say… If you want your animal to come back to you then talk out loud to her spirit and tell her that you would love her to come back. You can specify as what, when and etc. Then ask her and the universe to make that happen and to make sure you hook up and to make it really obvious to you so you will get it. Then let it go. If it is to happen it will. You can’t control spirit, and reincarnation is spirit with a capital S! If I ever do get something specific like an image of the animal coming back in the summer time as a grey cat with a white dot on her head, I will tell my client to file that in a mental filing cabinet and just pay attention. If a grey cat with a white dot pops up then pay attention, but don’t go out looking for that or get obsessed. I may or may not be right. That is really the only way to deal with intuitive information. Sit with it and see if it turns out to be right, but don’t blindly believe someone else’s intuitive impressions.

This is kind of a silly video, but cute. If you read the comments people speculate that the cat is declawed… don’t think so. Try again. Claws and teeth on a cat work in tandem. If they claw hard they bite hard and vice versa. Don’t we cat people know this in our bones. And this cat certainly isn’t deteethed. Ever had a cat bite your head? If this cat wanted to do damage …. damage there would be. So I have to say what an adorable perfect kitty. OMG. Kid is pretty cute too…. And this cat is one in a million. Most cats couldn’t even conceive of having that kind of restraint. This is a golden retriever; not a cat. And this is not something to try at home.
I am always thinking of my readers, students, and clients and how to help make it easier for you to access your intuitive abilities. As you know I believe everyone has these innately and they get suppressed as we grow up. So the process really becomes finding the ways around our conditioning to regain our full intuitive potential. I realized that I have a certain technique I have not really taught yet but probably will now, and I wanted to describe it to you so you can try it. I guess if I had to name it I’d call it the, What’s that About? technique. I use it especially to look at why a certain situation is happening, or what mirroring might be happening between a person and an animal. Basically I pose the question… as in OK what is that about? or what is happening there? and then I just sit and ponder. This is where it works to ponder and wait and see what comes. Sometimes I find I will tilt my head one way and then the other… I don’t have a clue why LOL. Then something will just pop in. And then I follow the cardinal rule: go with what you get and see where it leads. So if you are stumped about something, or want to look deeper at an issue, any issue, try this and see what happens.

Thank you so much for writing “Learning Their Language”. I have learned how to communicate with horses using Natural Horsemanship and have studied horse psychology extensively. I used to be able to be an amazing horsewoman, though from my neck injury becoming worse I started to feel not as strong or confident. This has really affected me in not only my horse world but all aspects of my life. I am working hard at getting grounded and using the horses to build my confidence again as that is where it all began for me in life. I am currently half way though your book and I just love it. My husband and I acquired a 11 month colt and we had to have many people assist us in getting him in the trailer. I am not great when it comes to the trailer as I am claustrophobic, though I know that I needed to get this colt use to the trailer as we have a show on the 24th of April. I got clam, relaxed, and in visioned what I needed him to do, with under five minutes he did what I imagined, it was amazing! I really feel with the help of your book and re-learning to communicate with my horses I will become the horsewoman I am missing.

Wild Horse and Burro Update

A client brought to my attention a book by Andrew Harvey called The Hope: A Guide to Sacred Activism. I have not gotten or read the book yet, but part of the premise is that like-minded people join together in small groups to work for change. I realized that this would be a great model to use for the wild horses and mustangs. I will be putting a more detailed description in my upcoming newsletter but below is the gist of how these groups could work. I am in the process of forming a circle and I hope if you care about this issue you will too. If you do form a circle please tell me and we can stay connected to exchange ideas and info.
Your circle could meet weekly (in person or by phone/skype) to strategize (plan letters, calls, etc), update each other, brainstorm, and send energy, healing and prayers to the wild horses and burros. Each person could seek out someone they know who is willing to start a separate support circle with their friends. In this way, we can rapidly expand the number of people working on behalf of the wild horses and burros.
